In 2010, to escape the Wisconsin winter, we traveled to the Silver City, New Mexico area and rented a house in the Gila National Forest. The "Hideaway" was 9 miles north the Silver City. Five of those the miles were on a two rut, dirt, national forest road. We could not have gotten home without the 4x4 truck. In 2010, it was impossible to escape winter.
