Mint 400 Desert Race 2012

The Mint 400 is an off road race sponsored by Best of the Desert Racing Association. The images below were taking on BLM land south of Las Vagas during the March 24, 2012 race. Over 400 images were taken as a practice run to hone panning skills and have and inventory of stock photos. Many of the images were taken with a shutter speed of 1/80th of a second in an attempt to freeze the car, but have the wheels and background blurred. All the images were taken in various spectator locations over the 92 mile track. Next time, I'll apply for a media pass for more access to the track and pit area.
